Attracting investments is one of the main elements of accelerated economic growth. In this context, a lot of work is underway in our country to find new, promising projects that will be of interest to both domestic and foreign investors.
One of such high-margin projects, which has a short turnaround time and high profitability, as well as the possibility of further expansion, is the Maydanak High Mountain Tourist Center on the territory adjacent to the Maydanak Observatory in Kashkadarya region.
For reference: 45 km from the city of Shakhrisabz is the world-class astronomical observatory Maydanak with the largest 1.5-meter telescope in Central Asia. In this, one of the best observatories in the Northern Hemisphere, more than 80 asteroids, 4 comets and a new minor planet were discovered. From the height of Maydanak, it is possible to observe the Moon, from a distance of 385 thousand kilometers, details of the landscape measuring 1 kilometer, and if to point a telescope at the orbital station, then details measuring 1 meter is visible, which allows to even see an astronaut who left the station on its surface to work in outer space.
The investment project is designed for initiators who carry out activities or intend to engage in the tourism business, since the object is interesting both for tourists interested in science and the universe, and for fans of active mountain recreation.
Maydanak High Mountain is surrounded by ancient villages with the delightful village of Langar – the center of ecotourism. There is everything here - the incomparable beauty of mountain peaks, a fantastic starry sky, fossils of marine animals, an ancient dormant volcano, uniquely fresh air and a magnificent landscape.
Thanks to the developed project, the following facilities are offered to investors for construction and subsequent management on the territory of 58 hectares adjacent to the observatory: a planetarium, an observation deck and an astro-museum, shops, a parking lot, a helicopter pad, restaurants and cafes, a landscaped garden including a galaxy model and a playground, a hotel complex, glamping with individual rooms in the form of geo-domes, camping, a health resort and a complex for active recreation - sledding, tubing and mountain lifts.
It is important to note that during the implementation of the tourism project, the benefits and preferences specified in presidential resolutions #PP-238 of July 27, 2023, "On measures to further accelerate reforms and effective organization of the public administration system in the field of tourism", #PP-3594 "On additional measures to stimulate the attraction of direct private foreign investment" and other regulatory acts in the field of investment activity.
