Deputy Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and UAE agreed on the joint development of projects for the cultivation of agricultural products in Uzbekistan and its subsequent implementation in the UAE

TASHKENT, November 10. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov has met with Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Minister for Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, the current state of implementation of joint projects, as well as prospects for further expansion of partnership between the two countries in trade, economic and investment spheres, were discussed at the meeting.

Further steps were outlined to accelerate the implementation of ongoing projects and initiatives, and algorithms for bilateral interaction in each area were agreed.

The activity of Uzbekistan – UAE investment company Abu-Dhabi Uzbek Investment, as well as the possibilities for its expansion, in particular by increasing the volume of financing of the program to support small and medium-sized business in Uzbekistan through the commercial banks, were considered.

An initiative was agreed on the joint development of projects for the cultivation of agricultural products in Uzbekistan and its subsequent implementation in the UAE, for which practical steps were outlined to create an appropriate infrastructure for standardization and certification, laboratories and logistics facilities.
