A meeting with representatives of the
Russian company “Yandex” was held at the Ministry for Development of
Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of
Uzbekistan. Prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation on IT projects
were discussed.
At the meeting, a presentation dedicated
to trends and development of IT industry in Uzbekistan, the domestic
system for training highly qualified programmers and ICT specialists was
held. Special interest of representatives of the Russian company was
attracted by the “Electronic government” system, created in our country.
The advanced technologies integrated into it contribute to the growth
of the number of effective interactive services that are very popular
among the population. Currently, most of the ministries and departments
of our country have developed and launched their own comprehensive
information systems and databases that meet modern requirements and that
are easily interacting with the “Electronic government” system.
The guests also got acquainted with the
activities of the Innovation Center for Support of Development and
Introduction of Information Technologies “Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation
Center”, aimed at uniting economic entities in the sphere of information
technologies, as well as software developers.
Particular attention was paid to issues
of cooperation for training of young programmers, as well as the
prospects for cooperation in the sphere of development of urban
geoinformation services.
