During the trip, meetings were organized to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries, develop scientific research, and study historical legacy.
Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s “Baburnama”, published in Italian by Sandro Teti Editore, was also presented in Florence and Rome.
The delegation members also visited several libraries and museums in Italy and became familiar with rare manuscripts and exhibits about Uzbekistan’s cultural legacy.
An agreement was reached to establish cooperation and sign a memorandum for the future study of Oriental manuscripts kept in the Vatican Apostolic Library.
“Recently, during a visit to Malaysia, we held talks on organizing a mobile exhibition of rare exhibits stored at the Museum of Islamic Art in Kuala Lumpur”, says Firdavs Abdukhalikov. “Currently, agreements have been reached to hold a special exhibition of manuscripts and exhibits discovered in Italy”.
