Uzbekistan to host “Lazgi” International Dance Festival once every two years

“Khorezm dance – lazgi”, which has a special place in the rich history of the dance art of Uzbekistan, is popular not only in the country, but also in foreign countries with its unique style of performance and attractiveness. Inclusion by UNESCO of “Khorezm Dance – Lazgi” on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity also testifies to the uniqueness of its art.

 

According to the document, the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, the Academy of Sciences and the Hokimiyat of Khorezm region was approved to hold, starting from 2022 (April 25-30), once every two years, the “Lazgi” International Dance Festival and an international scientific and practical conference within its framework, in the city of Khiva.
