This conference, held as part of the 13th International Music Festival “Sharq Taronalari”, is attended by more than 50 musicologists, folklore scholars, and cultural scientists from 32 foreign countries, as well as rectors of prestigious universities and heads of scientific and creative centers.
As the head of the conference organizing committee, the Acting Rector of the Uzbek National Institute of Musical Arts named after Yunus Rajabi Eldor Shermanov noted, more than 100 scientific materials by musicologists from more than 40 countries and 70 articles by scientists of Uzbekistan are presented at the event.
The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan noted that scientific and practical conferences, traditionally held as part of the International Music Festival “Sharq Taronalari”, are of great importance in studying the history of the development of the musical culture of the peoples of the East, and also pointed out the importance of preserving, researching and popularizing national musical and artistic traditions, especially in the modern era of globalization. The conference participants were presented with the “Maqom Capsule” as a special gift.
At the conference, foreign and domestic experts discuss issues of harmonizing national musical art with the musical culture of the Turkic countries and the widespread introduction of innovative educational technologies.
In the afternoon, the conference continued its work in the format of panel sessions on the commonality of national traditions in classical music of Eastern peoples and principles of creative integration in modern processes of musical performance.
Also, as part of the event, famous musicologists and artists of Uzbekistan held masterclasses.
