Relations between people of Uzbekistan and Germany are the main factor in strengthening mutually beneficial ties. People of Germany show great interest in the history, customs and traditions of Uzbekistan people, and people of Uzbekistan, in turn, in the past and present of this country.
Another evidence of further strengthening cultural, scientific and literary relations are the stored collections of Uzbek art in the museums of Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig and Stuttgart. The Ethnological Museum of Berlin stores collections of the Emir of Bukhara, and the Berlin State Library stores unique collections of manuscripts by Alisher Navoi.
– The heritage of decorative and applied art of Uzbekistan is very multifaceted and rich, – says the author and host of the video version of “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the World Collections” project Shakhnoza Ganiyeva. – For certain historical reasons, its significant part turned out to be abroad. Amazing collections of Uzbek art are stored in museums of Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig. For example, in the most visited museum in Germany – Pergamon, handwritten books of the Islamic world, which are considered the main relics and samples of priceless works of applied art of Eastern civilization, are kept. Here you can become acquainted with rare works of art of famous potters of ancient Afrasiab.
According to the Press Service of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan, on January 15 this year, Berlin will host the international scientific cultural forum “Heritage of the Great Silk Road serves as a bridge between Uzbekistan and Germany”. Forum participants will get the opportunity to become acquainted with the unique works of art of Uzbekistan people, stored in museums of Germany. This forum will serve to further strengthen friendship between Uzbekistan and Germany.
