TASHKENT, October 4. /“Dunyo” IA/. Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Press Secretary of the Constitutional Commission Odiljon Tojiev, in an interview with the correspondent of the “Dunyo” IA, spoke in detail about the work carried out by the country's parliamentarians to improve the draft law “On Amendments and additions to the Constitution of Uzbekistan”:

The public discussion of the draft constitutional law "On Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan" is being held based on the principles "The people are the only source and author of laws" and "All important decisions are made on the basis of direct dialogue with the people and taking into account public opinion."

An international roundtable discussion on “Constitutional reforms in Uzbekistan: Main changes and additions” was organized jointly by the Development Strategy Center and the Ankara Center for Crisis and Policy Studies (ANKASAM).

On August 12, at a meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the work being carried out to improve the Draft Constitutional Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” following the public discussion was discussed.
