TASHKENT, December 9. /“Dunyo” IA/. “2000 Songs of Farida”, filmed by Fox Music Cinema by the order of Uzbekkino National Agency, was selected for the Golden Globe Awards as the best film in a foreign language, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to Uzbekkino, this year 138 films from 77 countries are nominated for the best film in a foreign language.
The film tells about the influence of political events in Turkestan at the beginning of the last century. The main character Kamil, who lives with three wives away from people, gets married for the fourth time. Conflicts associated with the arrival of a new woman in the family and the political situation in this region destroy the family.
Scriptwriter and Director is Yolkin Tuychiyev, cameraman – Bakhodir Yuldashev, production designer – Bektosh Rajabov, film director – Shavkat Rizayev. The film stars Bakhrom Matchonov, Yulduz Rajabova, Elmira Rakhimjanova, Marjona Uljayeva, Sanobar Khaknazarova, Nodira Khojikuliyeva and others.
As previously reported, Oscar Committee of Uzbekistan nominated the Uzbek film “2000 Songs of Farida” for the Oscar.
