|Uzbekistan, Malaysia mark 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations|

King of Malaysia Almu’tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV congratulated the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov with the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two states.
“On the very auspicious occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Raja Permaisuri Agong joins Us in extending to Your Excellency, the Government and people of the Republic of Uzbekistan Our warmest congratulations and felicitations,” the King said.
“We believe the existing friendly relations between our two countries will continue to flourish in the years ahead,” he said.
“Please accept, Excellency, Our best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and well being as well as the continued peace and prosperity for the Government and the people of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the King said.
In his turn, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said in his message: “I have a great delight in cordially greeting Your Highness and the friendly people of Your country on the twentieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Malaysia.”
“I feel convinced that the multifaceted and longer-term cooperation between our two nations, built on principles of mutual confidence and respect, will keep advancing by our joint efforts.
“Availing myself to this pleasant opportunity, I wish a sound health and every success to Your Highness in Your responsible activities, along with peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of Malaysia,” he said.
